What's Changing

Because of the lack of interest in a fourth format at the shop, we have had to adapt how we are going to populate the last 8 out of the 32 invites for the Invitational Series this year. The way we are planning to adjust this is to reward the most attended format this season with the final 8 additional slots. The criteria for determining the most attended format will be solely based on the total number of tickets sold during the final season of the league. 

How will this work?

We will still be running 4 8-man pods for the final Invitational event. Two of those pods will now be the same format. The 8 additional slots will be selected as follows:

This means that you will retroactively qualify players from previous seasons if your format is the most attended in the summer season. If you had a friend who just missed their chance at an invite this is a great way to get them back in!

The two pods of 8 for the winning format will have players distributed among them randomly - it will not be a pod of the top 2 from each season and the top 2 open players and a pod of those who placed 3-4 respectively.

 

Top 8 Format

Because of constraints on constructed decks requiring players who otherwise would not play a certain format to find decks, we are going to make the top 8 format some type of limited event TBD. This also means bonus packs for everyone in the top 8!
